First In-House Training Session

Dave Ball, Andrew Deighton, Nick Stokes

Earlier this year we opened a new office in Sheffield, South Yorskhire and Andrew Deighton of Charles Stephens Funeral Directors, Birkenhead, has had the honour of being the first person to take part in a day of Training and Configuration at the new office. In September he spent the day working with a tailored version of the system, in preparation of rolling out Eulogica across their office.

The visit was very useful for both Andrew and the Eulogica team. Whilst training was taking place there were no interruptions, which allowed for productive discussion and full concentration. Using the network in place at the Eulogica office it was possible to tweak the system as things were pointed out, rather than having to wait for another time to do them.

Nick Stokes took charge of training Andrew, going over the processes of adding a new funeral, changing client details, maintaining products & prices and accounts receivable. It is natural that during the training process small tweaks and changes become apparent. As every company works differently it is inevitable that administrative processes will be unique. This is where the bespoke nature of Eulogica is of benefit. As Andrew was going through the system in the day-to-day manner that his colleagues eventually would, we were able to make notes where they would do things differently. David Wright was on hand to make these changes from another computer whilst training continued.

A busy morning was followed by a constructive afternoon following up the training with a look at letter and report structure - but not until after a hearty pub lunch of pie, chips, peas and the local delicacy of Hendersons Relish!
