Uninterruptible Power Supply Systems – don't lose out to power cuts

Uninterruptible Power Supply, or UPS, systems provide battery backup for when the power goes off. You will probably have had experience with power cuts turning off the computer. This can cause problems for your server PC, as some Eulogica clients have unfortunately experienced. A UPS system can help in this type of situation.

Increase in the standard rate of VAT to 20%

From the 4th January 2011 the standard VAT rate increases from 17.5% to 20%. If your business is calculating VAT, you will need to set the correct rate in Eulogica. Here we will focus on how VAT is handled in Eulogica.

Eulogica Expert Event - E3

November was a much anticipated month for the Eulogica staff as the very first Eulogica Expert Event, known now as E3, became a reality. A lot of planning and hard work went into the event which was designed to bring together forward thinking individuals from in and around the Funeral Profession. Participants from Norway, Sweden, the UK and indeed other countries took part.

2010 BIFD AGM & Conference

The 2010 BIFD AGM and Conference Weekend rolled around again, on the 29th to 31st October. This time the event was hosted at the Bellhouse Hotel in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire and was presented by the BBC News presenter Bill Turnbull. As usual, some of the Eulogica staff were there to show support.

First In-House Training Session

Earlier this year we opened a new office in Sheffield, South Yorskhire and Andrew Deighton of Charles Stephens Funeral Directors, Birkenhead, has had the honour of being the first person to take part in a day of Training and Configuration at the new office. In September he spent the day working with a tailored version of the system, in preparation of rolling out Eulogica across their office.

Importing Your Data Into Eulogica

It is possible for us to import your data from outside of the Eulogica system into your Eulogica database.

Running Eulogica On A Laptop

Every now and then we get asked if Eulogica will work OK on a laptop computer, rather than a desktop computer. Eulogica works just as well on a laptop computer as it does on a desktop one. In fact, having Eulogica installed on a laptop can provide additional benefits.

A Date Is Set - International Eulogica Conference 2010

We have now set the dates for the first International Eulogica Conference.

The event will take place in Oslo, Norway, on the 10th and 11th November 2010.
